A Twilio number is a virtual phone line that allows you to manage both calls and messages seamlessly. Follow these steps to complete the Twilio setup with Advisor's Growth.

Step 1: Create Your Twilio Account

Start by locating your Twilio credentials. In the Twilio console, go to the Project Info section of the Dashboard. The Auth Token is hidden for security, but you can click "show" to display it.

Once visible, copy both the SID and Auth Token. To finalize the setup, submit a support ticket, paste in these credentials, and our team will handle the configuration for you.

Step 2: Secure a Phone Number

Navigate to Settings > Phone Numbers, and click on "Add Number."

Use the search filter to input the first three digits of the area code you want (e.g., 720, 614).

Select your preferred number and save it.
Note: If your selected area code has no available numbers, you'll need to search for an alternative area code.

Step 3: Configure Inbound Call Forwarding

Go to Settings > My Staff > Team Management, and select the user whose inbound calls you want to forward.

  • Click Edit and scroll down to the "Call & Voicemail Settings" section.

  • From the dropdown, choose the Twilio number you’ve added.

Important: Make sure that the call timeout settings in both the Phone Number and User Settings are set to less than 60 seconds. If a voicemail is linked to the Twilio number, adjust the timeout to under 20 seconds.

If the area code you're looking for doesn’t have available numbers, try searching for a different one during the selection process.

How do I forward calls to a specific user?
Head to Settings > My Staff > Team Management. Choose the user, click Edit, and in the "Call & Voicemail Settings" section, assign the Twilio number from the dropdown.
