The Facebook Interactive Messenger feature in the Workflow Builder is designed to help businesses interact with customers on Facebook and Instagram through direct messaging channels. This tool allows businesses to drive sales, build conversations, and engage with potential leads in a timely, personalized manner. By using Facebook Interactive Messenger, you can connect with customers when they're ready, ensuring you never miss an opportunity to assist or collect valuable feedback.

How to Use the Feature:

  1. Prerequisites:
Before you can use this feature, make sure your Facebook account is integrated with Advisor's Growth.

    • Go to Settings.

    • Navigate to Integrations.

    • Locate the Facebook and Instagram section and connect your account.

    • Once integrated, go to the Automations tab, create a new workflow, and add a trigger, such as ‘Facebook comments on a post’ or a related trigger like ‘customer replied.’

  1. Access the Action:
In the Workflow Builder, navigate to the "Communications" category and select the Facebook Interactive Messenger action.

  1. Configure Reply Type:
Choose between "Reply to DM" or "Reply to comment via DM", depending on the type of communication you want to establish with the customer.

  1. Compose Message:
Set up the message to be sent, either by selecting a pre-existing template or crafting a custom message. You can also attach files or add buttons to enrich the interaction.

  1. Add Buttons:
Include up to three buttons in your message to offer customers options such as opening a website, calling a number, or performing specific actions.

  1. Set Default Wait Time:
Establish a default wait time before the contact moves to the next step in the workflow. This ensures a smooth flow of communication.

  1. Publish Workflow:
Once everything is configured, publish the workflow to activate the Facebook Interactive Messenger action.

Note: For detailed testing steps, see our article, "Using the Testing Features in Workflows."

Important Points to Note:

  • Ensure the "Page is" filter is selected first when setting up triggers to avoid deleting dependent filters.

  • You can add a maximum of three buttons in the Interactive Messenger action.

  • No additional actions can be added after using the Call button.

  • A default wait time of 10 seconds is applied, but this can be customized.

  • Failure to respond within a 7-day period in the "Reply to comment via DM" scenario may result in message delivery failure.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced Customer Engagement:
Facebook Interactive Messenger allows businesses to engage with customers right when they’re ready, increasing sales and conversions.

  • Efficient Lead Management:
Never lose a lead with instant engagement. You can identify interested leads and re-engage them without relying on expensive retargeting ad campaigns.

  • Personalized Communication:
Quickly engage with each customer’s comment, drawing them in faster than ever before. Tailor your messages to meet the unique needs of each customer, providing a personalized touch.
