This article will guide you through using the Send Email action, allowing you to seamlessly send follow-up emails to your leads within Advisor's Growth workflows.

What You'll Need:

  • An active workflow.

  • Email configuration settings.

Part 1: Adding the Send Email Action

  1. Start by clicking on the “Add your first action” button.

  1. Select the “Send Email” action from the available options.

Once selected, the Send Email action settings will appear for customization. Adjust these settings to fit your specific needs.

Note: If your workflow requires a trigger (e.g., form submissions or specific lead actions), be sure to add that first. However, if leads will be added manually, no trigger is necessary.

{{message.body}} Variable

Keep in mind that the {{message.body}} variable, when used, will display the full message body without trimming it to 100 characters.

After filling out all the required fields, click on Save Action to finalize the email settings.

Text-Wrap Tool for Send Email Action

Ensuring that your emails are properly formatted and responsive across different email clients is crucial. The new text-wrap tool within the Send Email action of the workflow builder helps address issues with formatting, especially when copying content from other editors. This ensures that your emails display correctly, particularly on platforms like Outlook mobile, where line breaks may not be preserved.

How to Use: Within the Send Email action, find the text-wrap icon and click on it after adding your content to ensure the formatting is applied correctly.

Adding Follow-Up Emails

If you plan to send multiple follow-up emails, it’s recommended to add a Wait step between each Send Email action. This allows you to control the timing of the emails by adding a delay in minutes, hours, or days.

Email Template Builder Available in the Send Email Workflow Action

The Email Template Builder within the Send Email workflow action offers convenience by letting you edit and view email templates directly in the workflow. This eliminates the need for switching between different sections, making workflow creation smoother.

Key Benefits:

  • Streamlined User Experience: Customize and view email templates directly within the workflow.

  • Reduced Back-and-Forth: The integrated builder keeps everything in one place, allowing for more efficient workflow creation.

Drag-and-Drop Email Template Editor in Workflows

The Drag-and-Drop Email Template Editor in workflows allows users to save their changes as new templates without altering the original version. This feature provides flexibility, enabling teams to create multiple versions of a template for different campaigns without needing to start from scratch.

How to Use:

  1. Go to Workflows and open the Send Email action.

  1. Select a template from the dropdown menu.

  1. Click on the Edit option on the template thumbnail.

  1. Make the necessary edits.

  2. Save it as a new template by clicking "Save as New Template" and providing a name.

Note: In other sections, such as the Template Builder for Contacts, the only option available is Save.

Additional Features:

  • Auto-Focus on Text Editor: When adding a comment in any action, the cursor automatically focuses on the text editor for quick access.

  • Email Template Selection: When selecting an email template within workflows, the updated at date is displayed in sync with the one shown in the Email Templates section.

By using the Send Email action, you can easily automate email communication with your leads while maintaining flexibility and efficiency in your workflow design.
