Workflow Action: Send SMS

This guide will show you how to send SMS messages to your clients through Advisor's Growth, along with additional actions that can enhance your workflows.

Steps to Send an SMS:

  1. Add Your First Action
    Click on the “Add your first Action” button in the workflow editor.

  2. Select "Send SMS"
    On the right-hand panel, under External Communications, choose the "Send SMS" option.
    Example: You could send an SMS to confirm an appointment booking. You can either type a custom message or select a pre-made template for clients to receive.

  3. Add Attachments or Links
    Scroll down to attach files or include URLs if needed.

  4. Save Action
    Click Save Action to proceed with the workflow setup.


Adding a Wait Step

A Wait action introduces a delay between workflow steps, determining how long to wait before moving to the next action.

Since this is often used in appointment workflows, we recommend adjusting the time delay based on the Event/Appointment Time.

  • The workflow will check the scheduled appointment time and wait accordingly.

  • You can set the delay to trigger either before or after the appointment.

  • Choose custom intervals like months, days, hours, or minutes.

Example: In this case, you could set a 3-day wait before the next action. Ensure that you label the wait step in the Action Name field to keep the workflow organized.

  1. Save the Wait Step
    After configuring the wait, save the action.


Example Workflow
If you want to send another reminder to the client after waiting for 3 days, repeat the steps from the top to add the next SMS action after the wait.
