The Split action in Advisor's Growth allows you to experiment with different marketing communications and actions by dividing your contacts into multiple paths based on a specified percentage. This helps you determine which approach works best for your audience by testing different strategies simultaneously.

Step 1: Set Up Your Workflow

  • Navigate to the Automations section and click on Workflows.

  • Select Create New Workflow or edit an existing workflow.

  • Add your desired trigger to start the workflow.

Step 2: Add the Split Action

  • Click on the "+" icon to add a new action.

  • In the search bar, type Split (found under the Internal Tools category).

  • Choose Random Split as the Distribution Type.

You'll see two paths by default, each set to 50%. You can adjust the percentages, add more paths, or edit their names based on your needs. The Random Split function works like rolling a die, where each contact has an equal chance of following any of the paths.

Note: You can create up to 5 paths, and you can remove any path by clicking the "X" next to it.

Step 3: Monitor Statistics

To track the performance of each path:

  • Click on the Split action, then select the Statistics button.

  • You'll see the distribution of contacts among the paths, allowing you to monitor which path is receiving more contacts.

Additionally, if you have the Stats View enabled, this information will be visible within the workflow.

Important: Once a contact is assigned to a path, they will always follow that same path if they re-enter the workflow.
