This guide will walk you through the steps to create a blog post and add it to your funnel or website using the Advisor's Growth platform.

Step 1: Create a Blog Post with Settings and SEO Details

  1. Create a Blog Post

    • Navigate to Sites > Blogs.

    • Create a new blog post by adding a Title, Description, and Blog Post Image (max image size: 10MB).

  1. Add Content Using the Editor Toolbar

    • Customize your blog content with formatting options such as bold, italics, underline, and strikethrough.

    • Use lists (numbered, bulleted, or to-do), adjust fonts and sizes, and apply colors and highlights.

    • Insert images or videos from the Media Library or YouTube, and add hyperlinks.

    • Add quotes to emphasize content, and clear specific formatting or reset all formats as needed.

  1. Customize with Advanced Elements The Blog Builder supports additional customization options like:

    • Custom Code: Add custom code for footers, headers, and other elements that can be reused across blogs, funnels, and websites with the Saved Sections feature.

    • SVGs: Use scalable vector graphics for a responsive design.

    • Maps: Embed maps to display specific locations.

  1. To add these elements, go to Sites > Blogs, select the blog to edit, click Edit Blog Site, and use the Plus icon to add custom code, SVGs, or maps.

  1. Set Up Blog Details After customizing your content, configure the following details:

    • URL Slug: Define the blog post URL path.

    • Category: Assign a category (set up in blog settings).

    • Keywords: Enter relevant keywords for SEO.

    • Author: Select the author (set up in blog settings).

  1. Once you review these details, you can either publish the post immediately (or even backdate it) or save it as a draft.
Note: Blogs support section templates, which can be reused across funnels, websites, and blogs for consistency.

Step 2: Add a Funnel or Website with the Blog Post List Element

Note: The funnel or website page will serve as your main Blog page, containing all blog posts from the Blogs section.

  1. Create or Add a Funnel/Website

    • Start by creating a new funnel/website or adding a new page to an existing one.

  1. Edit the Funnel/Website

    • Once the page is added, click Edit to open the editor.

  1. Add the Blog Post List Element

    • Use the Blog Post List element to display your blog posts.

    • Choose between Standard or Compact layout options.

    • Pagination settings control how many blog posts will be shown per page.

  1. Tip: Add a Category Navigation Menu and footer links to your main blog page. You can also rename the 'More Stories' button for clarity.
The "Blog Post List" element offers several options:

    • Blog Type: Choose between "Standard" or "Compact".

    • Pagination: Define the number of blog posts visible on the page.

    • Button Options: Customize the button text.

  1. Enhance Your Blog with Elements Adding section templates, buttons, and global sections can improve your blog's design and functionality:

    • Buttons: Guide readers to take action, such as "Read More," "Subscribe," or "Buy Now."

    • Social Media Icons: Link to your social profiles or enable content sharing to boost engagement.

    • Section Templates: Pre-designed sections that make blog design easier and more consistent.

    • Global Sections: Reusable sections like headers or footers that update across all pages when modified.

  1. Add a Domain

    • From Funnel/Website Settings, add a domain if one hasn't been assigned already.

  1. Set the Blog Page as Default

    • If you want your blog to open at your main domain (e.g., blog.mydomain.com) without a path, go to Settings > Domains > Edit Domain and select the blog page as the default page.

Important Notes

  • Categories, Keywords, Author, and Slug cannot be updated after the blog has been published. A solution is currently being developed and will be available soon.
