Invoice Creation After Document/Contract is Signed

In this guide, you'll learn how an invoice is automatically generated after a lead accepts or signs documents or contracts. This feature streamlines the billing process by replicating the details from the signed document directly into an invoice.

Automatic Invoice Generation

  • When a Lead Signs: Once the lead has signed the document or contract, an invoice is automatically created. This invoice will mirror the line items, taxes, and discounts applied to the product list within the document or contract.

Viewing the Invoice

To access the invoice after it has been generated:

  1. Go to the Completed Tab: Navigate to the Documents and Contracts section and select the Completed tab.

  2. Locate the Document/Contract: Click on the three dots next to the relevant document or contract.

  3. View Invoice: Select View Invoice from the dropdown menu.

Here, you can directly review the invoice, make any necessary edits, and send it to the client.

Important Notes

  • Product Line Items: An invoice will only be created if the document or contract includes product line items.

  • Multiple Product Lists: If the document contains multiple product list elements, the invoice will aggregate the costs of all line items and associated discounts.

  • Automatic Invoice Sending: If you prefer that invoices are automatically sent to customers without manual edits after they sign and pay, you can enable this feature:

    1. Go to Documents & Contracts > Settings.

    2. Under Product Invoicing, toggle on the option โ€œSend Invoices automatically after document completion.โ€

    3. Save the settings.

This ensures that the invoice is dispatched immediately after the document is signed, providing a seamless experience for both you and your client.
