How to Manage Payment Methods Displayed with Stripe Integration

This guide will show you how to manage payment methods within Advisor's Growth. By connecting Stripe as your default payment provider, you can dynamically display various payment options. This article will take you through the process of enabling or disabling specific payment methods based on your preferences.

Overview of Supported Payment Methods

As of now, Advisor's Growth supports the following payment methods:

  • Cards

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • ACH Direct Debit

  • Affirm

  • Klarna

  • AfterPay

  • Bancontact

  • Ideal

  • Sepa Direct Debit

Importance of Configurations

With the right configurations in Stripe, you can display different payment methods across various channels. This flexibility is crucial for managing payments and ensuring an optimal customer experience.

To enable or disable specific payment methods, users need to access their Stripe dashboard. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Access Stripe Dashboard: Log in to your Stripe account.

  2. Navigate to Settings: Go to the Settings section.

  3. Select Connect: Click on the Connect option.

  4. Choose Payment Methods: Select the Payment methods tab.

  5. View Account: Go to Your account to see the list of payment methods activated by Advisor's Growth.

Important: Ensure that you select Advisor's Growth configurations in the dropdown menu, especially if your Stripe account is connected to multiple platforms.

Available Configurations in Advisor's Growth

Advisor's Growth offers four primary configurations to manage payment methods for different channels:

  1. Invoice:

    • Use Case: Ideal for one-time or recurring invoices with auto-payments disabled, as well as Text2Pay links.

    • Default Payment Methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH Direct Debit, Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay.

  2. InvoiceWithAutopayment:

    • Use Case: Best suited for recurring invoices with auto-payments enabled.

    • Default Payment Methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH Direct Debit.

  3. Store:

    • Use Case: Suitable for payment methods in online stores on websites.

    • Default Payment Methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay.

  4. Default:

    • Use Case: Used for 1-step and 2-step order forms, payment links, memberships, and communities.

    • Default Payment Methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay.

Step-by-Step Guide to Turn On/Off Payment Methods

  1. Select Configuration:

    • Choose the configuration you want to modify (Invoice, InvoiceWithAutopayment, Store, Default).

  2. Choose Payment Method:

    • Identify the payment method you want to enable or disable.

  3. Turn On/Off:

    • Use the toggle switch provided to activate or deactivate the selected payment method.

Note: Some payment methods might appear as blocked because they have not yet been enabled across all connected accounts.
