How to Import Products via CSV in Advisor's Growth

Importing products in bulk using a CSV file simplifies the process of adding items to your online store. Follow this guide to efficiently upload your products, saving valuable time.

Steps to Import Products via CSV

1. Navigate to the Products Section

   • Go to the Payments tab and select Products.

2. Initiate the Import Process

   • Click on the Import as CSV button.

3. Upload Your CSV File

   • Either click to upload your CSV file or drag and drop it into the designated area.

   • If you don't have a CSV file yet, click on Download Sample CSV to get a template.

4. Prepare Your CSV File

   • You can either create a new CSV file based on the sample format or edit the sample file you downloaded.

Key Columns in Your CSV File

• Handle: Unique product ID.

• Title: The product name.

• Body: Product description.

• Images: URLs to your product images.

• Variants: Options for product variations (e.g., size, color).

• Current Price: The price for each variant.

• Comparison Price: The original price if there is a discount.

Additional Fields for CSV Import

Inventory Variables:

• Track Inventory: True/False (indicates if you’re tracking inventory).

• Allow Out of Stock Purchases: True/False.

• Available Quantity: Number of items in stock.

• SKU: Stock Keeping Unit.

Shipping Variables:

• Weight Value: The weight of the product (numerical value).

• Weight Unit: Units like Kg, g, lb, oz (not case sensitive).

• Dimensions (Length, Width, Height): Product dimensions in numerical values.

• Dimension Unit: Units like cm, m, in (not case sensitive).

Product Label:

• Enable Product Label: True/False.

• Product Label Content: Text of the label.

• Start Date and Time: When the label becomes active (in ISO format).

• End Date and Time: When the label expires (in ISO format).

SEO Variables:

• SEO Title: Optimized title for search engines.

• SEO Description: Product description for search visibility.

Uploading Your CSV File

1. Finalize the CSV File

   • Once you’ve filled out your CSV, save it with a .csv extension.

2. Upload the CSV File

   • Drag and drop the file or use the Click to Upload option to select the file from your device.

3. Preview and Confirm

   • After uploading, you can preview the file to verify that all product information is correct.

   • Click Upload & Preview.

   • If there are any errors, resolve them and re-upload the file.

4. Import Products

   • Once everything looks correct, click on Import Products.

   • You will see a popup indicating the import process.

Completion Notification

• After the import is complete, you will receive an email confirmation that the products were successfully added.

• The newly imported products will appear on the Products page.
