Gmail 2-Way Email Sync with Advisor's Growth

Users can connect their personal Gmail accounts to Advisor's Growth and sync both incoming and outgoing emails between the platforms. This integration allows users to send, receive, and track emails seamlessly.

Once an email thread is initiated from within Advisor's Growth (with the first outbound email), the thread will remain in sync, ensuring all subsequent emails are tracked across both platforms.

Steps to Connect Gmail:

  1. Navigate to the Settings page under the sub-accounts section.

  1. Select the Profile tab, then the General tab, and scroll down to the "Email (2-Way Sync)" section.

  1. Choose the Gmail 2-way sync option and click Connect.

  1. You will be prompted to select an existing Gmail account or connect a new one. Follow the instructions to log into the account you'd like to sync.

During the connection process, you will be asked to grant permissions to Advisor's Growth. Make sure to allow all permissions before continuing.

After completing the process, you will see your connected Gmail account under the Email 2-Way Sync tab.

How Does the 2-Way Sync Work?

To activate the sync, you need to send an email to a contact from Advisor's Growth. Once the first outbound email is sent from the CRM, all future emails in that thread will be automatically synced between Gmail and Advisor's Growth.

Auto BCC Sync:

You can use the Auto BCC Sync feature to capture emails sent from Gmail/Outlook and log them into Advisor's Growth. Simply navigate to Settings > My Profile, copy the BCC value provided, and add it to the CC or BCC field when sending emails. This will ensure conversations are synced and contacts are added to the CRM.

Once connected, inbound emails from existing contacts will automatically sync. You can also create new contacts directly from Gmail by sending an email and using the Auto BCC Sync option.

Syncing Behavior:

  • Outgoing Emails: Emails sent from Advisor's Growth will appear in the Gmail "Sent" folder and vice versa, ensuring a complete email history.

  • Existing Contacts: Incoming emails from existing contacts will be automatically synced to the CRM.

  • New Contacts: New contacts can be created directly from Gmail using the Auto BCC Sync option.

Limitations:

  • Currently, only the primary email address of a contact will sync emails. While inbound emails from secondary addresses will sync, outbound emails sent to secondary addresses won’t be reflected in the CRM.

  • If an email is sent to multiple contacts from Gmail, the conversation will only sync with the first contact.

  • In cases where duplicate contacts are allowed, the conversation will be logged with the first-created contact.

Setup Process: Users can set up Gmail 2-Way Sync via Settings > My Profile in a straightforward manner.
