How to Override Calendar Availability
Sometimes you might need to schedule an appointment outside your regular availability. For instance, if your usual hours are Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, but you want to schedule a meeting at 5 PM on a Thursday, follow these steps to manually book an appointment outside your standard availability.
Note: In Teams Calendars, this option is available only if you are an assigned user within the specific calendar.
Step 1: Access the Calendar
Navigate to the Calendar Section: Go to the Calendar section of your dashboard.
Select the Calendar: Use the dropdown menu to choose the calendar where you want to schedule the appointment.
Step 2: Create the Appointment
Choose the Date/Time: Click on the desired date and time slot for the appointment, even if it falls outside of your usual availability.
Open the Appointment Popup: A pop-up window will appear with options for scheduling.
Book an Appointment:
Select “Book an Appointment” from the options.
Choose the contact for whom you want to schedule the appointment.
Fill in the appointment details.
Click “Save Appointment” to finalize and add the appointment to your calendar.
The appointment will now be visible on your calendar at the specified time. You can click on the appointment to make any edits or deletions as needed.
