How to Block Off Time in Your Calendar
Blocking time in your calendar is essential when you’re unavailable, out of the office, or have an external commitment. This feature also lets you manage blocked time for other users. Follow these easy steps to block off time in your calendar or another user’s calendar.
Step 1: Setting Up Blocked Time
Access Your Calendar
Go to the Calendars section.
Select the Calendar
Choose the calendar you want to block time for.
Choose the Date and Time
Click on the date and time you want to start blocking time as unavailable. A pop-up window will appear with two options.
Add Blocked Time
Choose the “Add Blocked Off Time” option.
From the dropdown menu, select the user whose calendar you want to block time in.
NOTE: You can switch between users’ calendars using the dropdown in the top right. Even if you’re viewing one user’s calendar, you can choose to block time for another user by selecting the correct user in the pop-up. For example, you might be viewing John’s calendar but choose to block time in Sally’s calendar.
Complete the Details
In the pop-up window, fill in the necessary details, including:Timezone
Start and end date/time
Title and description (optional)
Save the Event
Click “Save Event” to confirm the blocked time in the calendar.
