Calendar Sync Options: Choosing the Right Sync for Your Business
Synchronizing your external Google or Outlook calendar with your Advisor's Growth calendar is a key step to managing your appointments effectively. Understanding the available sync options ensures you select the best fit for your needs. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to access and configure these settings.
Step 1: Accessing Calendar Settings
Go to the Calendars section in your dashboard.
In the top bar, select Calendar Settings.
Alternatively, while in Settings, navigate to Calendars from the left-side menu.
You can either create a new calendar by clicking Create Calendar or edit an existing one by selecting the three dots next to it.
NOTE: Syncing options are only available for Class Booking calendars.
Step 2: Selecting Your Sync Preference
When setting up or modifying a calendar, scroll down in the "Team & Event Setup" tab to find the Sync Options section. You’ll have three choices:
One-Way Sync:
Events from your Google calendar will be visible in grey.
Appointments scheduled through your Advisor's Growth calendar will sync with Google, blocking out times accordingly.
Google event participants won’t be added as contacts in Advisor's Growth.
This option is recommended for most scenarios.
Two-Way Sync:
All Google calendar events will appear in your Advisor's Growth calendar, color-coded.
Contacts for anyone invited to a Google event will be automatically created in Advisor's Growth.
These contacts can be added to any automated workflows or triggers linked to your calendar.
Disable Trigger:
All Google calendar event contacts will sync to Advisor's Growth as new contacts.
No triggers or workflows associated with Advisor's Growth calendar events will activate.
TIP: You can view the color key for events on a Two-Way Sync calendar by clicking on the small blue-circled question mark next to the calendar dropdown.
This version maintains clarity while enhancing the content’s flow and accessibility.
