Pop-up Forms: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide walks you through the key features and steps to create, customize, and effectively use pop-up forms on your website. With options for embedding, triggering, activating, and deactivating pop-up forms, you can enhance user engagement and improve lead capture.
Step 1: Locate the Form
Navigate to Sites > Forms > Builder within your platform.
Create your form as desired, using the available customization options.
Once your form is ready, click on Integrate Form to explore the new pop-up features.
Step 2: Integrate the Form
The Integrate Form section introduces powerful new options to tailor your pop-up forms:
Select Form Type: Choose from four distinct formats, each optimized for different user interactions.
Trigger Selection: Customize when and how the form appears based on user behavior, such as scrolling, time on page, or constant display.
Activation and Deactivation Options: Control how and when the form reappears after closing, whether based on user visits or continuously showing.
Embedding the Form
After configuring the form, select the embed type that fits your needs (inline, pop-up, etc.).
Click Copy Embed Code.
Go to the editor of your funnel or website page where you want the pop-up to appear.
Add a Code Element (sometimes labeled as Custom HTML/JavaScript).
Open the code editor, paste the copied code, and save.
Embed Layout Overview
The Form Builder offers various layouts designed to enhance user experience:
Sticky Sidebar: Appears on the side of the screen and can be minimized to a tab.
Polite Slide-In: Slides in from the bottom, disappears when closed, but can be minimized to a tab.
Pop-up: Overlays the form inside a lightbox; cannot be minimized but can be closed.
Inline: Appears naturally within the page content without overlaying; cannot be closed or minimized.
Trigger Types and Activation/Deactivation Options
You can fine-tune the behavior of your pop-up forms with the following options:
Trigger Types: Choose when the form shows—based on scroll percentage, a set time, or displaying continuously.
Activation: Control how the form reappears after it’s been closed—e.g., after a certain number of visits.
Deactivation: Determine how long the form stays active. You can deactivate it once the lead fills out the form or have it persist across sessions.
Advanced Customization and Integration
Easily customize the form’s design and content using the left-side panel to match your brand.
The right panel offers advanced options to integrate additional functionalities and design elements.
Note: Forms triggered by scroll will only appear once and require a page refresh to display again.
This pop-up form feature allows you to create visually appealing, functional, and highly customizable forms that enhance your website's engagement. By effectively leveraging these settings, you can optimize user experience and lead capture efforts.
