How To Use the File Upload Custom Field in Forms and Surveys
This guide will help you set up and use the file upload custom field within your forms and surveys. The file upload feature allows users to submit files directly through the form or survey, making it easier to gather relevant documents or media.
Step 1: Adding the File Upload Custom Field
Navigate to Settings: Go to the Settings of your Advisor's Growth account, then select Custom Fields.
Create a New Custom Field: Click on “+ Add Field” and choose the File Upload option.
Configure the Field: Fill in the necessary details and click Save to add the custom field.
Step 2: Adding the File Upload Field to Your Form
Access the Form Builder: Go to the Form Builder within your account.
Locate the Quick Add Tab: On the left-hand side, you’ll find the Quick Add tab with common fields like name, email, and phone. Below this, you’ll also see Custom Fields, which are personalized for your business needs.
Find the File Upload Field: Use the search functionality to find “File Upload” in the sidebar. Once located, drag and drop the field onto your form.
Edit the File Upload Field: Click on the field to open the editing options in the right sidebar. From here, you can adjust the title, add placeholder text, and determine whether the field is required.
Step 3: Save and Integrate the Form
Save the Form: Once you’ve configured everything, click Save Form.
Integrate the Form: Click Integrate Form to generate a link. You can then copy and paste this link wherever it’s needed.
Step 4: Organizing Files with Folders
Create a File Folder: For better organization, you can create a folder specifically for file uploads.
Go to Settings > Custom Fields.
In the top right, click “Add Folder.”
Name your folder (e.g., “Files”) and add the File Upload field to it.
Save your settings.
