How to Use Conditional Logic in Forms
Conditional logic is a powerful tool in the Advisor’s Growth form builder that allows you to create dynamic, responsive forms. With this feature, you can tailor the user experience based on their input, creating more personalized and effective forms.
Step 1: Create or Edit Your Form
Navigate to the Forms Section:
Go to Sites > Forms in your Advisor’s Growth dashboard.
Create a new form or select an existing one you wish to edit.
Step 2: Configure Your Conditional Logic
Access Conditional Logic Settings:
Within the form builder, go to the Conditional Logic section located under the Secondary Header bar.
Choose the Type of Logic to Set Up:
Redirect URL: You can redirect users to a specific URL if they meet certain conditions. For example, filter by country code and send users to a different page based on their phone number.
Display a Custom Message: Show a tailored message to users who meet the specified criteria after they submit the form.
Disqualify Leads: Automatically disqualify leads if they meet certain conditions, preventing them from proceeding further.
Show/Hide Fields: Use this option to show or hide specific fields based on user input. For instance, if the user enters "New York" in the City field, the Organization field could be made visible.
Note: The available filter options are based on the fields you’ve included in your form.
Save and Preview:
Once you’ve configured your conditions, save your form. You can then test it to ensure everything works as expected.
Additional Notes:
You can switch between ‘AND’ and ‘OR’ conditions to refine your logic, and the system will automatically adjust all operations accordingly.
Only relevant fields appear in the dropdown menus, ensuring the interface remains clean and clutter-free.
Conditional logic takes priority over on-submit messages or redirects, ensuring your rules are enforced.
Currently, checkbox and multi-select fields are not supported in conditional logic.
Using Conditional Payment Elements
A recent update introduces conditional payment elements, giving you the flexibility to show or hide payment fields based on user input.
How to Set Up Conditional Payment Elements:
Access the Form Builder:
Open the form or survey you want to edit in the Advisor’s Growth Form Builder.
Add Conditional Logic:
Select the field that will trigger the condition (e.g., a subscription preference question).
Define the Condition:
Set the logic to determine when the payment element should appear or remain hidden. For example, display the payment field if the user selects "Yes" for a subscription option.
Place the Payment Element:
Drag the payment element into your form at the appropriate spot. Set its visibility based on the user’s response.
Save and Test:
Save your form and test it to ensure the payment element appears or disappears according to the logic you set.
By leveraging conditional logic and payment elements, Advisor’s Growth enables you to craft more customized and targeted forms that cater to your specific needs.
