How to Submit Mock Data for Forms and Surveys
Submitting mock data allows you to test forms and surveys, ensuring that the data flows correctly and appears as expected in contact profiles. Follow these five simple steps to submit mock data for form or survey completion:
Step 1: Creating the Form/Survey
Access the Form or Survey Builder:
Navigate to Sites > Forms/Surveys > Builder.
Select the form or survey you want to work with or create a new one.
Customize Your Form/Survey:
In the left panel, add standard and custom fields to create a mock data scenario.
Use the right panel for styling and design options.
Once everything is set, save your form/survey.
Step 2: Add the Form/Survey to Your Funnel
Open the Funnel Page Editor:
Go to the funnel or page where you want to place the form or survey.
Add the Form/Survey Element:
Drag and drop the appropriate element onto the page.
Click on the element to access its settings and configure the submit options as needed.
Save the changes.
Step 3: Submit Mock Data
Access the Form/Survey via Funnel:
Copy the funnel step URL.
Open the URL in an incognito window to simulate a new submission.
Input Mock Data:
Fill out the form or survey with sample information and submit it.
Follow the intended flow of the funnel or site after submission.
Step 4: Review the Results
Check Submission Data:
Go to Forms/Surveys > Submissions.
Filter by the form or survey you tested.
Review the mock submission to ensure the information appears as expected.
