How To Create and Use SMS and Email Templates
SMS and Email Templates are pre-drafted communications that you can use in workflows, one-time communications, or bulk actions. If you frequently send similar messages, templates can save time and ensure consistency in your messaging.
Step 1: How to Create an SMS or Email Template
Navigate to Marketing > Templates:
Go to the Marketing section and select Templates.
Create a New Template:
Click Add a Template.
Choose whether you want to create an SMS or Email template.
Customize Your Template:
Add your content and adjust the design as needed. A preview will be visible on the right-hand side of the screen.
You can add personalization using merge fields, links, and attachments.
Save Your Template:
Once you’re satisfied with your template, press Save to confirm.
Step 2: Using Your Template in Different Contexts
Using Your Template in a Workflow:
Navigate to Automation > Workflows.
Open the workflow where you want to use the template.
Create or edit the action where the template will be used (e.g., sending an SMS or email).
Select your saved template from the dropdown menu.
Save the action.
Using Your Template in a Conversation:
Go to Conversations.
Select the contact you want to communicate with.
At the bottom of the middle pane, choose either SMS or Email.
Select your template and make any final edits.
Click Send.
Using Your Template in a Bulk Action:
Navigate to Contacts.
Select the contact records that the bulk SMS or email action will apply to.
Choose the bulk action icon for either SMS or Email.
Select your template, make any necessary edits, and send.
These templates streamline your communication processes, allowing you to consistently deliver clear and professional messages across various platforms.
