Bulk Actions: Merging Duplicate Contacts
The Bulk Actions feature in Advisor's Growth allows you to manage contact records efficiently. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to merge duplicate contacts using this feature:
Step 1: Choose Your Contacts
Navigate to Your Contacts:
Go to the Contacts or Smart Lists section.
Select the Contacts to Merge:
Check the boxes next to the contact records you want to merge. You can select between 2 to 10 contacts for this action.
Step 2: Choose Your Action
Select "Merge Duplicate Contacts":
Click on the "Merge Duplicate Contacts" icon.
Configure the Merge Details:
A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to choose which information to retain or overwrite among the selected contacts.
The "Master Record" will be the primary record, which will hold the retained information by default.
Confirm the Merge:
Type CONFIRM in the designated field.
Click "Resolve" in the bottom right corner to finalize the merge and apply the updates.
Additional Notes:
Carefully review the information in the pop-up to ensure that the correct details are retained during the merge.
Once the merge is confirmed, it cannot be undone, so make sure to double-check your selections.
