Bulk Actions: Importing and Exporting Contacts
The Bulk Actions feature in Advisor's Growth makes it easy to manage multiple contacts efficiently. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to import and export contacts using this feature:
Step 1: Select Your Contacts
Navigate to the Contacts Section:
Go to the Contacts or Smart Lists section.
Choose the Contacts:
To select specific contacts, check the box next to each contact record.
To select all contacts on the current page, check the box at the top.
To select all contacts across the entire list, click the hyperlink that says "Select all
contacts in Advisor's Growth."
Step 2: Column Selection for Export (Optional)
Open the Dropdown Menu:
Use the dropdown menu to select the columns you want to include in your export.
Ensure Comprehensive Data Management:
For phone data, select both "Phone" and "Additional Phones" options to manage all associated numbers.
Step 3: Choose Your Action
Exporting Contacts:
Click the "Export Contacts" icon to generate a .csv file containing your selected contact records. The file will download automatically.
Importing Contacts:
Click the "Import Contacts" icon to start importing a list of contacts. For a detailed guide on importing, refer to the “How to Import Contacts” tutorial.
Additional Notes:
Permissions: If the import/export options are not visible, it might be due to limited permissions. Contact your account admin for assistance.
Required Fields for Import: Ensure that each contact record for import has at least a phone number or email address for a successful upload.
