How to Upgrade from Version 1 (V1) to Version 2 (V2) Funnels

In October 2021, we introduced Version 2 (V2) funnels and websites, which come with enhanced security, improved functionality, and more robust capabilities. To fully benefit from these advancements, it's essential to upgrade any older "Version 1" (V1) funnels and websites to "Version 2" (V2). This guide will walk you through why and how to make this critical upgrade.

What Are V2 Funnels and Websites, and Why Should You Upgrade?

Version 2 (V2) funnels and websites provide a faster, more secure, and feature-rich experience compared to Version 1 (V1). By upgrading, you’ll gain access to:

Improved Speed: V2 offers faster load times, enhancing user experience.
3D Secure Payments: Compatibility with 3D secure payments for added transaction security.
PayPal Integration: Seamless PayPal payment processing capabilities.
Stripe Connect Integration: A more secure integration with Stripe Connect, replacing the need for API key integration.
One-Step Order Forms: Simplified checkout processes with one-step order forms in funnels.
Built-in Card Authorization: Enhanced security features when selling recurring products.
Centralized Transaction Management: All transactions will appear in your “Payments” tab, making it easier to manage.
Digital Product Management: Ability to create digital products within the payments section and add them to a funnel step.

Identifying Your Funnel or Website Version:

Pages built before October 2021 are classified as V1 and are not labeled.
Pages built after October 2021 are labeled “Version 2.”

Steps to Upgrade Your Funnels and Websites to V2

Step 1: Check Your Funnel and Website Versions

Navigate to your Funnels or Websites page.
Identify which of your funnels or websites are labeled “Version 2.” These are already upgraded.
For any funnels or websites without a label, they are considered “Version 1” and will need to be upgraded.

Step 2: Ensure You Are Using Stripe Connect

Go to Payments > Integrations in your dashboard.
Confirm that your Stripe account is connected through Stripe Connect.

Step 3: Upgrade Your V1 Pages to V2

Click on a V1 funnel or website. You’ll notice an “Upgrade to Version 2” button in the top right corner.
Click the button to initiate the upgrade process.
In the popup window, type UPGRADE and click the “Yes, Upgrade” button.
- The upgrade process may take up to one minute, depending on the size of the funnel or website. Avoid navigating away from the page during this time.
Once the upgrade is complete, you’ll see an indication next to the funnel name showing that it has been upgraded.
- The products tab in the funnel will also reflect the upgrade.

Important Note: After upgrading, it’s crucial to test your products in live mode to ensure everything functions correctly.
